Ametis JSC produces Lavitol (Dihydroquercetin) from the stumps of Dahurian Larch (Gmelinii Larch) that are grown in ecologically clean areas of the Amur Region. The use of ethyl alcohol as an extracting agent allows for a high quality product, used in food and nutritional industries.
Application of Dihydroquercetin
According to its chemical properties, dihydroquercetin is an active antioxidant capable of inhibiting oxidative reactions, while the level of antioxidant activity makes it possible to put it in the first positions among substances with a similar spectrum of action. As a substance with a high degree of biological activity, dihydroquercetin has a whole range of positive effects on metabolic reactions and the dynamics of various human pathological processes.
The action of Lavitol dihydroquercetin:
Antioxidant activity: Dihydroquercetin inhibits the process of free radical oxidation.
capillary protective activity. Strengthens the walls of blood vessels, increases blood flow.
Anti-inflammatory activity: Dihydroquercetin slows down inflammatory reactions in the body, improves the supply of oxygen to cells. radioprotective activity. Dihydroquercetin has the ability to actively "extinguish" hydroxyl radicals, which are the main agents under the action of ionizing radiation.
Hepatoprotective activity: It has a protective effect on the liver, normalizes the cell membrane and structure of hepatocytes, accelerates the recovery of damaged liver parenchyma, thereby enhancing its detoxification function.
Detoxifying properties:The detoxification effect of dihydroquercetin consists in direct interaction with toxins, binding them into a stable form, followed by excretion from the body. By improving capillary blood flow, the process of removing toxins from the intercellular space is accelerated.
Dahurian Larch (Gmelinii Larch)
“Lavitol – Arabinogalactan” is a complex water-soluble polysaccharide compound of plant origin, derived from the Dahurian Larch. Contains molecules of galactose and arabinose.
Properties of larch arabinogalactan
High solubility in water. Arabinogalactan is well soluble in both hot and cold water. Arabinogalactan is also soluble in aqueous-alcohol solutions, insoluble in oils and almost insoluble in pure ethanol.
Stable in acid mediums
Thermal and hydrolytic stability
Acting as prebiotic
Application of Larch arabinogalactan
Larch arabinogalactan is widely used in pharmaceutical and food industries. If primary Larch arabinogalactan was used only as the adjuvant in production of various medicinal agents, owing to a detailed study of its properties, larch arabinogalactan is considered to use as an independent component in production of dietary food supplements.
Arabinogalactan is an all natural soluble prebiotic dietary fiber that has a beneficial impact on the gastrointestinal system. Arabinogalactan promotes better disintegration, nutritive absorption and digestion in the gastrointestinal tract and could be recommended as a functional dietary supplement in the daily diet. Arabinogalactan promotes to increase the production of short-chain fatty acids, which are extremely important for normal functioning of the organism.
